Despite residing and working primarily in Paris, Rukpong’s mind and memories are still rooted in the East. Though physically thousands of kilometers away and six hours apart from Bangkok, technology allows endless possibilities for connection. This idea was explored during the production of the “United“ collection where countless ideas were possible through social media and instant messaging. Sentimental, seasonless, sensitive; each piece in the editions will be produced in small quantity with the focus on the process and materials. Run West Editions aims to push the idea of consume with understanding. Each series will be made in limited quantity or made to order practices.

In a world where a phone can create high definition memories, Rukpong is longing for a sense of nostalgia and simpler times of image making in his teenhood. Production of images and content created will follow a series of rules, inspired by the “Dogme 95” movement. This will allow technology to dictate the style of image created. Rukpong intends to create a system that is both solid and flexible, allowing him to connect and engage on all spectrums of fashion. The slower pace of production allows for appreciation of the process and enables craftsmen to work at a comfortable pace rather than being driven by seasonal consumption.
