OBSERVING THE FORMS ON THE STREET,
DAY TO NIGHT

“Public”is a continuation of “Site Sight” for this collection  I looked into the street for inspiration. Observing the clash and harmony of class, I combined forms of the what people wear. Different stages of lives from young to old, rich to poor, from the homeless to business men, they exist cohesively within the same space. The basic forms of tailoring  with primitive ways of construction like tying and wrapping. The collection explores the usage of the traditional hand-woven silk with synthetic materials giving a traditional textile a contemporary edge.
